Avoid this company and product - ATN TICO 336x256 Thermal Imager Clip-on

We have been through 2 of the scopes since September of 2015. Both have failed. The 1st one turned on several times and then totally quit. We returned it to ATN. Customer service at ATN is very poor after much effort we got them to take it back and send us a new one. We were excited to finally have a functioning unit. The unit worked for about 3 weeks during which we observed our cattle at night and got used to the features. We never used it for more that 10 - 20 minutes at a time. We finally took the unit into the field for what was to be an extended period of time. The unit failed within 1.5 hours due to lens fogging. We called ATN and again we had issues with having to return the product. Qoute from ATN website ( In the unlikely event that one of our units will need to be serviced, our Warranty Repair Center in South San Francisco, CA will do the work in 72 hours or less in most of the cases.) We sent ATN photos of the fogging issue with the return. They did not repair or even look at it for over a week. We had to call repeatedly to get them to start the repair. We talked to them again on Wednesday December 9, 2015. We were told that the O rings had failed and they had replaced them and retested the unit. They said they were sending it out immediately. ATN sends confirmations of shipment when they send out products. We did not receive confirmation so we called them back on 12/14/2015. They did not know why it had not shipped but said they would call down and request it be expedited. We ask for a return confirmation call which they said they would do...the call never came. We have called several times since but can not get them to respond. We did talk to a customer service representative named J***. J*** hung up on us when we wanted answers. Here is another quote from the ATN site ( Here at ATN we will not accept anything but 100% customer satisfaction. This is our commitment to you. We have a dedicated team of trained professionals that will help you determine the problem and help guide you with any issue you might have with our products ) They have failed miserably at support and customer satisfaction. Today is 12/172015 and we still do not have answers. Beware when spending this kind of money with this company. I will gladly supply documentation to support this claim to anyone who request it.
