Buyer be ware - does not work as advertised!!!! - ATN X-Sight 5 LRF 5-25x UHD Smart Day/Night Hunting Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube w/ Gen 5 Sensor

I am a long time customer of ATN. I purchased an X-Sight Pro 4K 3-14 and was completely unhappy with the unit. I had to return the unit 3 times to get a unit that actually worked as designed. Then when I attempted to use it and sight it in as specified in the manual I could not see a 30 caliber hole in the target(at 100 yards) to zero the unit due to the poor resolution of the optic. This means the “one shot zero” is impossible and its more like 10 shots. If your building multiple profiles and storing them in the optic you will be shooting a lot of ammo to get zeros for each one. Bottom line is the 3-14 is a good 50 yard optic if you want to see detail like a hole in a target.
I worked ATN had it approved to sent me a X-Sight Pro 5X LRF – 5-25X as a replacement. (It was exactly the same cost at the 3-14 unit and related equipment I had already purchased for my 3-14 that I returned) I waited for the unit to come in to ATN then it was shipped to me.
I opened the box with the X-Sight 5K 5-25 in it and followed the instruction to the letter and installed the new X-Sight 5k. It has not been a good experience since that time. I feel like I am in the move Groundhog Day!!!!! The X-Sight 5K 5-25 will not boot up without a hard reset every time if the unit has been turned off for over 12 hours. and when it does boot up it freezes up. I have been on the phone with customer service no less that 10 time. I have exhausted option and shot another batch of expensive sub sonic ammo trying to get the unit set up only to have to sent it back to ATN…….. Along with the boot up and freeze up problem there are imperfection in the screen in the view finder.
At this time I have a lot time, money and ammo invested in X-Sight’s products that don’t work. I have at least 2 solid week of my time invested in these ATN units and all I want unit I can hunt at night with, see and Identify what the animal is at 150+- yards (like my friends with the Pulsar units can), and not have to worry about the unit coming on when I push the power button. Bottom line is research and purchase a dependable optic which the X-Sight line in my experience is not.
