S'ok! - ATN AMT Night Star 1st Gen Night Vision Monocular NVMNNSTR10 (11071)

Bought one of these back in '99 from a magazine. thought i'd review it here. very narrow field of view- some noise, but overall i was happy with it, it's a cool little toy with decent illumination in total darkness. just wished i had to money to afford something with wider fov and maybe autofocus. note: broke last year, tho it still makes high pitched sound that tube tv's and NV makes. wierd. :/ don't think it's repairable.
Pros: inexspensive for beginners. pocket sized. Titanium's litium batts are cheap.
Cons: stopped working after sitting around for a couple years, the IR LED still works though.
