Good enough for the Corps...
Badger Ordnance rings are stout. I figure if they’re built tough enough for a Marine Scout Sniper to skull drag all day with his weapon and not have to worry about the scope staying trued, then I doubt anything I will do to my weapon should cause any concern. The 1.49” puts my 56mm objective about a 1/4 inch over my barrel.

The Only One That Was Tough Enough
Tried several different brands of rings on my 338 lapua magnum and these were the only ones that made the cut in the end. Had a savage 338 that kept dislodging its upper rail like many do. After JB welding the scope rail and trying burris one piece, vortex precision aluminum decided that these steel rings were the way to go. After the JB weld and these rings my Burris has not moved and has been rock solid for 250+ hand loaded rounds. Prior to this combo every 30-40 rounds things would come apart requiring rings to be retightened at the base or on the rings. No lapping required and solid in the heat 110+ and cold and the steel screws hold their tension without retightening like aluminum screws. Will get a set for my new win mag build.
Pros:
- Solid, precise, nearly indestructible
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Heavy recoiling rifles, duty critical applications
