Norris Fireworks's Review of Badlands 2200 Daypack
This review is of first impressions of the Badlands 2200 Approach camo. Key things 1. A Leupold golden ring spotting scope did not fit in the spotting scope holder. I modified the holder by removing the zipper and cutting the opening larger. The spotting scope holder would probably work without modifications for straight path spotting scopes. 2. The tripod holder pocket barely holds the larger more stable tripods made today by Ulfhednar and Leupold. I’ll give it a pass on that though since barely seems good enough. 3. The pistol pockets won’t fit a Ruger Alaskan 44 mag or even a Colt Trooper 357. A skinny gun is needed to fit. A S&W Shield 45 fits well. I’d really prefer a better big-boy-revolver fit. 4. The waist pockets are a little far back to reach and unzip easily. 5. Everything else is good including the camo design, robustness and quality, rifle carrier works well, webbing connections are plentiful, it’s early in testing but was comfortable for a two hour hike fully loaded with glass, guns, water, etc
