Have been using Badlands gear for a while now, needed a new pack in Approach camo so went with the 2200 as it seemed to be the closest thing to my 2800, it is a beaut, holds all my gear with plenty of room for meat, rifle and other items if i'm on an extended trip.

Awesome back, hold everything you need and then some, being a big guy it fits perfect. I’ve only taken It coyote hunting so it works for running and gunning but I can’t wait to use it for is full potential for my elk hunt later this year.

After the first hunting trip with my new pack I am very pleased with my Badlands 2200. The pack is just what I was looking for and performs as advertised. The meat shelf worked very well on the animals we harvested during our hunt.
Pros:
Looks good
Cons:
Wait and see.
Best Used for:
Day pack/ meat hauling.

Firstly, Opticsplanet has by far the fastest shipping I've ever experienced and I'm a Amazon prime member. Their prices could not be beat and with the coupon I used, it almost feels like I'm stealing from them. Secondly, this pack is the real deal. I'm that guy that has used the same rucksack for 10 years and love it. The setup to get it to fit comfortably was extremely easy. Very well thought out design and surprisingly stable for a non full framed pack. The material is soft and durable, pockets are well spaced and managed with the exception of the pockets and holster on the hip pads. I don't think thats a mark against the company, it's probably more a mark against my waistline. All the zippers are thick and heavy. I've read reviews of older models having zipper problems but it looks like they may have rectified that situation. The product isn't made in the USA but I imagine that's sadly to keep costs down. I'm an Eberlestock guy and was very close to getting the Team Elk pack but I'm happy I chose Badlands. The capacity of this pack is a MASSIVE understatement. I compared it with my halftrack and I figured they'd be close. NOPE, their is at list 400-500 extra CI in the 2200. The material and overall build is just way more robust. That comes with a weight cost for sure but, I'm more about longevity and durability over a few ounces on my back. All in all, this is a literal and figurative tank on your back. I wouldn't bat an eye to take this pack anywhere. Very pleased with ny...

I bought this pack after taking a Barney's pack up a mountain in Alaska. This pack doesn't hang up in brush, is lite, and compact, allowing better movement in the brush. Moving up a mountain through brush, these are the factors to consider. Very good pack.

Excellent quality, quiet material. Just what I was looking for. Plan on using it for hunting for off the trail to carry in my gear for the day. And to help add in carrying game out due to the frame construction.
Pros:
Construction
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
hunting
