Good Product

by Night Rider, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on January 10, 2016
I started looking at the Bino Z model after seeing that the models with the magnetic cover had a warning not to use those if you have a pacemaker, which I do. I noted from the online reviews that the Bino Z model's zipper is loud, and after receiving mine, I found that to be accurate. Also, the inside material is a little noisy when you pull the bino out of the case, but I think that will change after some use. That said, it is a quality product and if you can live with the zipper noise, it is a great product. I like the pockets inside the case a whole lot. I bought it to distribute the weight of the binoculars and to protect and secure a Swaro 10x42. My bino is a little snug at the objective end, but I can see that will change once the case gets broken in well. I doubt that I will use the hydration bladder feature, but I guess it's a selling feature for some. Bottom line is if you don't want one with a magnetic lid for whatever reason, this is a great alternative, subject to the zipper noise, which probably can be mitigated. I got this from Optics Planet on sale at a great price so I am happy!

Perfect for Hunting

by Trinity alps hunter, from CA, United States Written on December 14, 2014
I have been looking for a good Bino chest rig for a year now that was not to big and not to small. This pouch is exactly that. Perfect. It holds my nikons prostaff 7s just fine with a little more room for small things. Or just two red bulls and snacks for hiking. I choose this over the magnetic one because of the noise. When those magnets shut hard they make noise and if you are close to the animal they will hear it. I archery hunt and have no issues with this case being in the way. Plenty of clearance. And if you are not familiar with badlands gear, then take a chance on these. They are very well made and will last.
Pros:
  • Very well made
  • Holds mid size bino just fine
  • Extremely comfortable and light weight
  • Bino straps are not small and can be held to eyes just fine
  • Perfect for archery hunting
Cons:
  • Maybe a small little side pouch for wind chalk. Other than that they are just fine.
