It works, and magnetic enclosure is awesome

by Dave, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on November 8, 2021
I decided to finally move up from the simple (many-brand-labels leather patch) strap harnesses I've been using for years.
I liked the magnetic closure on this one as the closures I saw on others looked hard to operate, especially one handed.
Having now used this on my whitetail hunt in So AZ, I really like it. The mag closure works excellent and is tight enough to keep the dust out. I rode about 50 miles on very dusty roads in my UTV back and forth from camp to trailheads and the dust did not penetrate into the case. And all the rest of my gear was covered in dust.
Only once while quickly taking off my daypack the case popped open with the weight of my 12x50 Leica's (3 lbs). They stayed in the case but I was a little more careful after that.
I would totally recommend this case.
Also, I called customer service for help in adapting to my daypack and they were super helpful.
Nothing but good to say about this case and Badlands.
Pros:
  • Protection
  • Magnetic closure
Cons:
  • None

New Bino case

by agony, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on September 3, 2017
I just received this product and so far I am satisfied with the quality, design and functionality. I have a pair of Vortex Diamondback binos (8x42) and they fit well inside the Badlands case. With that said, I have not used it in the field on an actual hunt yet. I will be out for a mule deer hunt at the end of Sept and will put it to the test.
Pros:
  • Quiet, contained and easy to use.
Cons:
  • None
Would recommend: Yes

Badlands Bino Case

by rod, from UT, United States Written on March 31, 2016
I used this particular model for a number of years before switching to another brand. My latest purchase of the bino case was for a gift. It works as advertised. It is overpriced in my opinion, considering they used to cost about $45 four years ago. The straps have a tendency to rub your shoulders raw if your wearing a real heavy pack, not so much with a light day pack. If your a little guy or female the straps may not adjust small enough to keep the case ridding wear it should on your chest. The water bladder pocket works as designed, but you will need to find an alternative to the Badlands brand water bladder. The two BL bladders I had tasted like plastic. Overall still a good well-built product, but overpriced.
Pros:
  • Warranty
  • Well constructed
Cons:
  • Heavy
  • price
Best Used for:
  • day hike

Great bino case

by TominOregon, from OR, United States Written on December 4, 2015
I got this after inspecting a friends Badlands case and after buying some Bushnell laser range finding binos. 10x40.
Very safe secure environment for the binos. Waterproof? Mostly so. Very little got in during elk hunt two weeks ago during a storm.
The built in lenses cleaning cloth was a bonus.
They have a warranty as good as Vortex optics- that is, nothing better.
