To many, KA-BAR U.S.M.C. would be the name synonymous with a combat/utility knife, but this beast surpasses it in every way; a full extended tang, 8.5 inch blade made of forged 154CM stainless steel, so massive and beefy, yet wicked sharp as a razor with a very strong blade point that could easily penetrate a body armor. Nothing seems safe from this beast in the CQB scenario.
This is my first Bark River knife and I'm glad that I own one. Especially, the STS(Special Tactical Series)knives are already out of production and are getting extremely rare these days.
It was meant to be a military knife with a mean look designed to slash, stab and incapacitate the opponent, but many seem to love this killer knife as a survival/camping knife deep in the woods.
There is nothing elegant or gorgeous about this blade, but you will see its true worth and beauty in what it is capable of because it is a real knife for real use in the real world.
If you are looking for a hardcore, dependable, really good-looking and 100% American-made knife, then look no further.
Bark River STS 8 will never let you down and she will be a lifetime companion, provided you take a good care of her.
