Received my Barska 10-40×50AO scope and it looks great and appears to be well made. Will be taking it out to the range to sight in and test its features.

The scope has worked well on a Savage 308 bolt action rifle. At ranges of 200 yards, 150 yards, and 100 yards thew clarity is great. If you are not looking to spend a fortune and get a decent scope, Barska is the way to go.

I bought into all the hype and bought a vortex scope for my Ruger precision 6.5 Creedmore and it's a great scope but it's more expensive than the rifle. I recently bought a new Savage stealth in .338 Lapua and a friend of mine had a barska 10x40-50AO Varmint that he had never used. I put it on the Stealth and shot .243 m.o.a. at 500 yards and continue to shoot sub m.o.a with the hard hitting.338. never loses zero and not one single problem. If I was a tactical shooter and lives depended on me I would opt for a higher end scope because my vortex is a little clearer at high magnification and a little brighter. At the range I routinley out shoot guys with high dollar scopes and if you do get a bad one their customer service will make it right.
Pros:
- Inexpensive, accurate and tough
Cons:
- Slightly less clear, slightly less light transmission

I needed a cheap scope while I had one in for repair to keep shooting. Power above 32 forget it, just can't get a sharp focus at 200 yards, lower power nice and clear. The scope ran out of downward adjustment way before the dial said by the lines and numbers. It shoots 10" low at 100 yards from point of hold.

Distorted view at higher power even with correct parallax settings. No good over 10X. I guess you get what you pay for!

I bought this scope for my Savage Mark II .22lr. It came 2 days ago and I got the chance to sight it in yesterday. It was a bit difficult to get sighted in on paper but after about 30 rounds I was right on at 50 yards. The windage and elevation knobs click into place distinctly but with ease. The only thing that I don't like is that past 30x power everything darkens through the scope but overall great scope for the money and still very shootable all the way at full magnification.
Pros: Very accurate
Cons: Long scope

I purchased this scope for a friends .17HMR. He seems to like it, has plenty of magnification, and holds zero. Very blurry at the highest magnification, but what can you expect from a hundred dollar scope.
Pros: Affordable.
Cons: Very blurry at highest magnification.
