I bought these for hunting season to upgrade from my cheap Simmons binocs. Decent clarity, however when looking in the general direction of the sun, some haze appears around the outside. All optics seem to have this issue. I haven't had the chance to use them in rain yet, but they seem to be sealed up tight. The rubber outside shell is nice to have when hunting. I sling my rifle in front for rapid access and these binoculars constantly bang against my stock with no sound at all. The neck strap has quick release snaps on both sides that are completely removable so you can install any strap that you choose or none at all. The eye cups are quick to deploy for glasses or non spectacle wearing users. Simply spin the eye cups about 1/8 of a turn for 3/8 inch eye standoff. Focus is smooth and accurate. Once adjusted, both eyes stay in focus at any distance.

Overall a great buy for the money.
