Most Helpful Positive Review People always want to borrow my Barska
I use this monocular all the time to watch birds and check out the night sky. It focuses very sharply, even at long distances. At night, I can see a lot of stars that are not visible to the naked eye. It has a fairly wide field of vision, which makes it easy to locate an object. It is larger and hea...

Most Helpful Negative Review review warranty
Consider if a 30 day dealer warranty serves your needs. It`s a little too big for gp daypack use and a little too small for anything else. Pros: works after $20 warranty repair Cons: lens caps both failed

Perfect distance viewing for legally blind

by Lady K, from OR, United States Written on June 29, 2019
I bought the predecessor to this model 10 yrs ago when I had one marginally functioning eye. Since then that same eye became legally blind. This monocular has been my “go to” for distance viewing. Now that I dropped my scope and broke it, I’m buying the same product again. It has worked wonderfully for me.
Best Used for:
  • Distance viewing

Great Product

by Josh, from ID, United States Written on January 24, 2019
I've recently become interested in watching the wildlife (mostly birds, rabbits, chipmunks, foxes, etc.) that are constantly in our backyard, so I figured I'd give this monocular a try since they got good reviews, are compact and seemed to pack a lot of bang for the buck.

Barska Monocular

by Todd Anders, from IN, United States Written on February 10, 2016
Being blind in one eye, I wanted a lightweight field spotting monocular for small game, etc. I took this unit on a month long trip to Alaska, purchasing it just for the trip. The unit failed to focus after only using it about 20 times, it literally came unglued internally and my efforts to fix it were unsuccessful. After opening it up, it looks like the parts internally were damaged in production and it was not a matter of if, but when it would fail. Cheap piece of junk, DO NOT BUY!
Pros:
  • Inexpensive
Cons:
  • cheap quality
  • low build tolerances
  • cannot repair
Best Used for:
  • paper weight
