If you want a cheap/beginner scope, this is perfectly fine. I don't feel it's rugged enough if it happen to get knocked over or fall a few inches. I don't like the stiffness of the focus and zoom. If I knew what I know now, I'd invest the money in a better scope.
Pros: I like the hard case it comes with
Cons: I like the case more than the scope
