Works great at low to middle magnification settings. At higher magnification settings the eye pupil gets so small it becomes almost unusable for spotting at the rifle range at 200-300 yards. But that said if you keep the zoom to low to middle range, it works great and has a good enough sharp focus. ...

If you want a cheap/beginner scope, this is perfectly fine. I don't feel it's rugged enough if it happen to get knocked over or fall a few inches. I don't like the stiffness of the focus and zoom. If I knew what I know now, I'd invest the money in a better scope.
Pros: I like the hard case it comes ...

I've just started high power shooting and a spotting scope is really important (especially at my age, 50). This scope give a excellent clear view. The metal case is nice and the price makes it a great value.
Best Used for:
I'd guess about 400 yards/meters

I have purchased other Barska scopes over the years and have been thrilled with them. I thought I was upgrading from my previous scope. The focusing ring at the end is too large for me to turn without losing my target and trying to find it again. I am in the wilderness watching wildlife and I can't use this scope. It was a wasted purchase.

As any real shooter knows, optics are expensive and you get what you pay for. If you need a good, cheap optic for checking stationary targets at the range this will work. If you need to rapidly focus on moving game at long distances, this wouldn't be my choice. The field of view under full magnification is extremely tight (at 100 feet, it's about the size of a doorknob) and the focusing ring all the way at the objective lens is kind of awkward and clunky. But it does have a nice case and decent tripod. It's a range spotter, nothing more, nothing less. If you want to save your money for what's ACTUALLY ON YOUR RIFLE, this may also be a decent choice.
Pros: Lightweight, good hardcase
Cons: Weird focusing mechanism, tight field of view at full power

it was an overall good product, the only thing the user might want to do is put lok-tite on the grooves of the body piece so it wont fall apart.
Pros: great price, excellent magnification & visibility
Cons: body does not screw tightly to objective
