Most Helpful Positive Review My first spotter and I am very happy!!!
This is my first spotter. It was in the price range I was looking in and had very high magnification. Some people say past 75x it was not very good, but i disagree! I use shoot-n-see targets and at 200 yards you don't have to zoom it in past half way to see the holes. I also was shooting my AR at 30...

Most Helpful Negative Review Magnification/price good - design not so good.
Why do I say poor optics yet recommend it? Where can you get 125X for $140 without buying an astronomical telescope? I could spend $220 for a Bushnell 20X-60X but that's not 125X. Impossible to get a crisp clear image at any zoom factor. BUT, good enough to see bullet holes in a distant target...

Can't be shipped without breaking

by RONALD HENSON, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on February 19, 2025
Had to replace 1st delivered product due to flaws in zoom mechanism. Replacement arrived with objective lens flopping around about 3/16 of an inch. Also, not barska, it's rebranded from something else.i can see where they changed the signage in the box.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Broken
Best Used for:
  • nothing

Absolutely Horrible

by Shane, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on May 11, 2024
Horrible this thing is a total POS it's like a child's toy only not as good what focus you can get is horrible I don't understand how it can look as bad as it does, if you can get it to focus past 25 yards it is such a fuzzy grainy picture that you can get no detail absolutely worthless for it's intended use. Optics plant should be ashamed to sell such an inferior product I wasn't expecting much for the price but it should at least work, this does nothing it claims I have a better zoom on my phone
Pros:
  • NONE !
Cons:
  • Every one imaginable
Best Used for:
  • Taking up space in a landfill

For the price, I'd recommend it however......

by Miguel Zendejas, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on September 6, 2023
If ypubare not looking to spend alot of money and need an optic this is an okay setup. It comes with everything you need for a table top area complete with mount and trypod Nd even comes with a hard and soft case. You can definitely reaxh out and see pretty far. The glass is not great and the eye relief is kind of weird but still an okay optic. I didnt like thatvthe focus ring did not have any markings and made it bit hard to focus. The feel of it also made feel cheap which made me question It's rigidity.
Pros:
  • Price
  • light
  • zoom
  • Accessories
Cons:
  • feels cheap
  • focusing is clumsy
Best Used for:
  • light use

Too many flaws to be considered a spotting scope.

by Ron, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on April 2, 2023
Received the scope and took out to the 1000 yd range

The image quality and clarity is so poor that I was able to better see the 4 inch strike markers with a 24 power riflescope

The scope exacerbates mirage conditions, making this scope useless assuming one plans to use for hunting or shooting sports
Pros:
  • Comes with a cheap tripod
Cons:
  • worthless for hunting or shooting
Best Used for:
  • Pervy spying on your neighbors

I would not reccomend this scope to my enemy

by Rick, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on June 5, 2019
The scope overall has a cheap feel to it. I could never quite get a clear focus past 100 yards, and the focus adjustment is down by rotating the black grip around the front lens. After the 3rd trip to the range the main part of the scope separated from the rest of it, and the threads were stripped so it would not go back together.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Cheap and not durable

Blurred and fuzzy.

by Brett, Verified Owner from Vic, Australia Written on November 15, 2017
Should have paid that little extra and looked into a better quality scope as this one is a total waste of money. I wouldn't be recommending for any purpose as i have a 10 power set of binoculars which out perform the Barksa on every level.

Pleasantly Surprised

by Ten, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on March 4, 2017
I was skeptical for the potential quality of optics at this price point. I'm glad I did because the quality is surprisingly above what you'd expect at this price point. It's not a high end lens but delivers clean and clear (not crisp at the top end) images of down range. I've used these for shoot and see targets at less than 400 yards.

Hiking and watercraft

by Rick, from MD, United States Written on November 25, 2014
Good product for basic hiking (scoping the trail ahead)- light weight and easy focus.
Good for moon-viewing or watching wildlife within 1000 yards. Waterproof feature good for marine usage. So far it is rugged enough for casual treatment.
Pros:
  • Priced well.
Cons:
  • tripod does not have a height adjusment
Best Used for:
  • hiking

Terrible scope -- cheap and shows it

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on May 21, 2013
Don't buy it -- you will be disappointed. The low (25) magnification works, barely. Don't even think about using higher magnifications. It's hazy at best and difficult to focus. The tripod that's included is a joke.
Pros: None
Cons: All
