Best tool for the job
Could not get linear compensator off of Daniel Defense pdw. Apparently this is a common issue. Tried different armorer wrenches that I have but opening and configuration of the compensator is not standard. Other standard wrenches like channel locks, vice grips , etc very clumsy to use and risk damage to the comp. Read multiple reviews that Barska wrench was ideal. And it was. Did soak in Kroil and CLP for 24 hrs before use of any wrench and did use BEV block also.
Pros:
- Ideal for this Job
Cons:
- Not sure what else I will use it for
Would recommend: Yes
says carbon steel, it feels like cast iron
This thing has inconsistent thicknesses throughout. Its too thick to where i need to remove my muzzle and it cannot get a good grip on it, and super thin where it i remove the barrel. I wouldn't bother with this, it is poorly made, all the edges are rounded, nothing has a crisp edge either.
Would recommend: No
