When I received the package, the CR123A batteries 'included' were obviously used....and dead. One even had corrosion on the + end and both were a bit dingy/dirty. WTF??? Barska 5mW Red Laser Sight/Flashlight Combo
Unit seems sturdy and robust and works well. It seems to put out the specified lumens and laser works fine. The push on/off built in power switch and rotary mode selector switch are positive and feel good. Negatives - the provided pressure switch's cable connector plug is prone to pulling out - there is no locking means - friction fit only. Since I will not be using the external switch - tested only - I am not concerned about this issue.

Great for price
Mounted it on m1 30 carbine it sighted in easy in daylight conditions the laser is easy to see out to 50 yards or so at night it's easily visible at 200+ yards the led light is very bright it's my first laser sight so I have nothing to compare it to but I like it so far if it proves to be reliable I don't know why you would spend more money for another brand. If I have any problems I well repost.

Broke before I ever fired a round.
First when I ordered the item I did not see anywhere stating the item was not in stock after 2 months item finally shipped. When it arrived it looked like a good deal. I mounted it on my AR, when I went to sight the laser in the light acted as if it had a short in it and would not always turn on, when it did come on it would often turn off when the gun fired. Didn't matter if I used the pressure switch or the on of switch on the light. When I put the rifle away I must of bumped something I didn't notice as when I went to check the batteries just in case that was the issue, the selector switch was broken off. Save your money and but something that will work. I am planning on returning it to the factory not sure if I will get a refund or not. Glad I checked it out before I needed it.

Good quality product at a good price
When I purchase items quality is a main concern then a good price, which after research this seems to be.
I have installed this on my home defense shotgun even though I have not put it through the paces, it seems
to be of good quality and has many nice features. At this time I would recomend it to someone else that likes
a good value.

i have had this light/ lazer for about 3 weeks it is the best i have bought yet easy to install easy to use and the lazer is spot on . Great for night time varmit hunting ! the light is very bright and lazer as well !!!!

Good value for the price
I purchased the laser flashlight combo to mount on a 9mm carbine I use for home defense. The 200 lumen light provides more than enough light not only inside the house but illuminates the front of my back garage some 35 yards from the house. I have not zeroed the laser yet but the beam also easily reaches the back of my property. For the price which includes two batteries this is a good value. This is my second Barska product and I have been more than pleased with the quality of their products.

Small & compact
It's a bright light with adjustable modes between laser/light combos. Easily attaches to the standard rail system. I don't know how long the batteries will last on the various modes so looking forward to testing that out. Overall good bang for your buck.

Barska Red laser sight with flashlight
Product is as advertised, I have not had any problems so far. This is mounted on my Mossberg 500. I have shot about 50 shells with this attached so far. Product is small and light weight. I have not had any durability issues as of yet.

Couldn't use it, came with dead batteries
I received the item today 11/5/2013. Looked great. Opened the batteries, put them in the unit. No go. Tested the batteries. Dead as a doornail. Called OpticsPlanet and Barska. Both said feel free to return it, they won't send new batteries. That's pretty lousy customer service. I'll buy a different model from another vendor.
