All-in-all, a good safe

The same has room enough for my Kimber Solo, loaded clips, and other personal items. Only fault, it can be a little slow, in my opinion, to open. I scanned my index finger straight, but the reader had trouble reading it when I scanned to open. The solution: I scanned my index finger at an angle and now the reader recognizes my finger every time.

A VERY FINE GUN SAFE

Based on the very positive reviews, low OpticsPlanet price, and free shipping, I rook the plunge and bought my Barska Compact Biometric Gun Safe. And glad I did. It's nicely designed, rugged, roomy, and works almost flawlessly. ALMOST flawlessly? Once I got the hang of the biometric fingerprint reading system, it works flawlessly for me; however, my wife struggles with it. For her it works about 90% of the time. I must say that only about 5% of that is the safe; the remainder is her technique, though that's getting better. The safe is plenty large for us as we have three handguns inside with room for another. Would be better if it had an adjustable shelf. Showing it to my son and brother-in-law resulted in two additional sales.

Great Gun Safe

An excellent way to keep a weapon secure and handy. It meets my main goal of keeping out of reach of visitors and unauthorized household members. Will not deter a determined thief as the size and weight of the safe makes it easy to just take the whole thing.
Pros: Perfect size for a bedside. I feel comfortable that my weapon is safe.
Cons: Opens a little slower than I expected but still fast enough.

perfect for our needs.

installs and programs easily. Open is silent and quick. Interior is roomy -- holds 4 handguns now, we could probably get a 5th in there if we had to. (admittedly, 2 are little .380's.) Perfect for our needs, bolted easily inside a cabinet.
Pros: quick, quiet open. Easy to set-up, program and install.

Really Big!

This vault could easily hold five 1911's. I would rather have had something less inconspicuous.
Pros: Secure, easy to install, easy to setup, good price
Cons: Too big. I installed this on my headboard and it is huge

GREAT BUY!

Both my wife and I programmed in our thumb prints with about 5 positions each and it always opens! So easy and can do in the dark!

Highly recommend this way over the GunVault!
