great safe,fingerprint reader is sensitive so you have to put finger in exactly as you had it when you set it.the battery compartment in the door could have been constructed a little tougher,kind of loose

Baraja Compact Biometric Safe
Safe currently holds 3 handguns and 300 rounds of ammo (with space left for a few boxes).The biometrics work well but it is nice to have the numeric keypad as backup. I was doing a lot of sanding and wore my fingerprints down and the safe wouldn't read them for a day or so. Batteries are still working fine after a month or two. I would buy again if needed.

Exactly what I needed
I've always wanted to have a firearm safe, but didn't want to have to turn on a light to put in a combination. Thus, the biometric safe was just what I wanted. Took me a while to get consistent with my finger placement on the scanner, but one I got that figured out it was great. Holds my three main handguns plus extra mags and box of special handloads. Plus the backup pin is a breeze to use. Great purchase for me, I don't worry about the grandsons getting hold of my weapons anymore. Lovin' it.....

Good for the money
i like this safe for the bedroom,especialy when children are around.it's a bit noisy but serves a great purpose.the biometric reader works 99% on the first try.

Cons: would like to diable confirmation tone,the middle shelf just rests on pins,when you reach inside it clangs against side of safe or falls

Biometric ?
Mine arrived without mounting bolts. Called Optics and was told there was nothing they could do about it and to call manufacturer. Called Baraska and they said they would send them. That was almost 3 weeks ago and still waiting on the bolts.
Pros: Plenty of space for full size pistol, holster, mags and ammo.
Cons: Biometric is next to useless. Seldom recognizes stored print. Quicker to enter code, but that is a problem in the dark with no back-light on the key pad.
