I have had two of these scopes - Huntmaster 3-9x50. The first was on my rifle for 3 years and worked well until I noticed the lens inside was loose and chipped from rattling around. While there were no visible signs of the scope having been hit or bumped, I attributed it to my son who last hunted with it. Since it had served well I purchased a replacement. While sighting in the replacement scope, again an internal lens came lose and is now rattling around inside the scope. This happened after putting 19 rounds through the rifle, a .308 Winchester. I now believe the first scope failed in the same manner and was not due to any miss use by my son. Since the replacement scope is brand new, I called Barska who provided me with an RMA but then told me there is a $20.00 warranty fee and I also have to cover the shipping costs. All up totaling more than 50% of the cost of the scope. Needless to say I am very disappointed with both the product and Barska's lack of support. Barska is using their so called warranty as a revenue stream, not really guaranteeing anything but rather making the consumer pay over and over again for their poor quality. Unfortunately, since Barska really does not stand behind their products, I will no longer consider them for any future purchases.
It is unfortunate that due to the difficulty in finding & purchasing ammunition, I was not able to use this scope until 10 days past Amazon's return window. I have to chalk it up to a learning experience and eat the cost.
