Great medium size safe. Plenty of room for keeping Glocks, holster, and mags. Reader works great and will scan multiple times if you do not have correct finger placement.

Great safe....if I could get it to open consistently
This is a good quality fairly heavy safe. The issue is the reader. It doesn't recognize you finger unless it is exactly in the same position as it was set at. I am not confident that in a time of need I will be able to open this safe quickly. I waited over 3 months for this item to come off back o...

Very nice!
First safe I ever bought with fingerprint system. Works extremely well and is a convenient size. Perfect for the drawer. I do recommend this safe to keep your handgun in a safe area, secure and quick to open with fingerprint. It was very easy to program. I programmed mine and wife's fingerprint.

Excellent Safe...
I really feel secure with the fingerprint usage, with the key as a backup. It does seem to be very sturdy and compact enough to place wherever one wishes...and know that the content in the safe is secure. I strongly recommend this safe - especially if losing keys is a pertinent factor.

Barska Top Open BioMetric Safe
The safe arrived in a specially designed box with the best packaging I had ever seen. Just from that, I knew the safe was going to be of excellent quality and live up to its advertising and my expectations.

Barska Top Open BioMetric Safe
Great safe. I research several safes but the Barska met all my needs/expectations. Based on other online comments, I was concerned with the reliability of the biometric sensor, but thus far it has worked flawlessly. I am very happy with this safe.
Pros: Easy programming. Biometric works great. Hydraulic cylinders are a great feature.
Cons: Key opening is under the Barksa cover so not ideal for an emergency.

Product is great, service was terrible
The safe met all of my expectations and is a great product. However, Optics Planet felt it was acceptable to charge my account immediately after the order was placed, then notify me that the item was back ordered and took three months to deliver the safe.

I scanned all my fingers once each and have had no misses. The beep can be easily turned off. Smooth and quiet.

Very easy to program. I have used every day for last year. Love the peace of mind to access and store sidearm quickly. I have two kids and neither my wife nor I would have to fumble to open. Fit great in dresser drawer. Had to purchase a quality night stand as the loaded safe is 30 lbs with guns and ammo. Have not replaced batteries yet. Recommend to everyone.

Impressed
After doing a lot of research for a quality biometric safe, i'm glad I choose the barska. Many reviews are positive, unlike gunvault. This safe has opened every time for me. Only once did it fail and that was because I didn't have that finger registered. High quality safe, recommend it to anyone wanting a bio! Oh yeah, the new models include an option to turn off the beep!
