Not for all 9mm builds

This bolt catch did not work with my aero precision epc 9mm upper. The bolt holdback bar is small bent rod and would poke thru the center cut out portion and get caught. Once I went back to my standard bolt catch lever everything worked fine.

Not a perfect fit

I like the added function of this item, and it was the only oversized catch I could find for the AR9. That said, it wouldn’t function in my PSA AR9 upper without some minor Dremel work. It wasn’t a big deal, but considering the price is significantly higher than their version for the AR15, I wasn’t expecting this.

Perfect for 9 mm carbines and Rifles

This is a great accessory that I’ve been waiting a long time for. It gives you a little larger bolt release to use on 9 mm type, pistols and Rifles.

Doesn’t even come with spring and plunger

I bought this one because of the price point. Had I realized I would have to source my own spring and plunger to even install this thing at retail cost, I’d have just gone with one of the slightly pricier options. First gun part I’ve ever bought that didn’t come with the hardware to install it.

nice, but not great with Aero EPC-9 upper

Strong, will finished 9mm bolt catch. Only problem is that it won't work with the Aero EPC-9 LRBHO feature without modification. I did get it to work, so if you don't mind tinkering it's great. However, if you want a easy drop in catch that will just work with the EPC-9, look elsewhere.

Great upgrade for minimal $

Great way to upgrade your lower. When new, lowers are frequently a little rough until they’re fully broken in...a larger bolt release provides a little more leverage which makes it a little easier to release.

All I use for my builds

I first tried this unit on a SBR build and liked it so much I swapped out all of my bolt catches. Smooth finish with no burrs, chips or finishing marks. Easy to install and in over 50 plus builds, not a single failure. Highly recommended.

Works well

I bought this item as an easy upgrade for my NFA MP5 lower and it works great. It does it’s job to lock the bolt back and hold it well and the enhanced ergonomics make it easier to use. Great upgrade and easy install make it worth the buy!
