Yes it was a little labour intensive with slamming the rail onto the upper, my poor poor wooden block has been bested, but this rail is top notch I’ll be severely impressed if you manage to torture this rail and get it to lose zero, this rail is the reason why BCM is such a known name

My buddy who bought a Ruger SFAR wanted the ability to mount a thermal clip-on, but the model he got didn't have a top rail. So we replaced it with this. Fit it well. BCM products are usually rock-solid, and this was no exception.

I’ve always heard BCM being great and this being my first AR build and experience with BCM, this hand guard is absolutely fantastic. Quality, fitment, and overall great looking.

Wasn't too hard to install had to heat the hand guard and oil the barrel nut to get it on. To get it off you really got to heat around the barrel nut and use a mallet to get it off. I used a angled grip and mounted it on top for something to hit on.

Always qualities products form bcm! Great fit for my pistol build and it’s very lightweight

I don't know about everyone else, but I had a very tough time getting this vanguard onto the barrel nut, im a mechanic who's used to dealing with thermal and press fit parts, and i struggled haha, ended up putting the upper with the barrel nut in the freezer and the handguard in the oven, and had to bang it on with a rubber mallet, that was after giving everything a quick sanding to ensure there were no little burrs or nicks, theres no reason for it to be that tight.

Also had a nice adjustable gas block I wanted to use but found out this handguard is extremely tight compared to other ones so the gas block was actually touching the handguard, I could have sanded it down but then the adjustment for the gas block was also covered so I ended up having to get a UTG slim gas block that was not adjustable.

Overall it's a very sturdy handguard, but then I've also owned bottom of the barrel Chinese handguards that were pretty solid too. The end of the handguard did come with 2 dingsz like someone at the factory dropped it.

This handguard is strong enough to take a beating, but light enough. It has great lockup. A definitely solid upgrade to any rifle!
