The horizontal adjustment screw flew out in under 300 ronuds.

by Anonymous, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on September 15, 2020
Overall the product looks good on a first look. The laser can easily be seen at 100 yards with medium street lighting present.
However, there is a serious problem, and I am happy it happened during day training, not at night. Before I had shot 300 rounds that morning someone on my team found a weird looking screw in one of the vehicles which prompted everyone to look at their gear and to my dismay I discovered I am missing the horizontal correction screw. I had only drawn the pistol out about 30-40 times that day and shot 200-300 rounds before it popped out and that's not OK. Suppose I was using it at night and as it was unscrewing my aim went to the side.
Pros:
  • good visibility in low light (100 yards)
Cons:
  • adjustment screws won't stay set
Best Used for:
  • movie prop

Not bad, not great

by Paul, from KS, United States Written on May 19, 2020
A caveat, I haven't shot this yet. Beamshot is a good company, so I assume with confidence that it will work fine. This provides a civilian grade laser and IR illuminator in a small, lightweight package. I have it currently mounted on a G34 with a ALG 6 second mount. Under Gen III+ NVGs, the beam is tight and close to civilian allowable max power. it mounted close to zero (confirmed through the Aimpoint currently mounted on the pistol. The illum works well to 50M and OK past 100.
The on/off switch (not to be confused with the on/off button) is a nice feature but poorly executed. The switch is very small and plastic. So hard to manipulate in the first place and a real concern it could break. There are also multiple modes of operation which is good, except choosing them is a bit confusing and the location of the buttons make it easy to change modes when you don't want to. The on/off button is difficult to access without breaking your grip on the pistol. I haven't discovered the full-time "on" mode and so it really is hard to use effectively. I'll probably change this over to a 22 pistol and get a different IR laser/illum for my G34. Not a bad product and i don't regret the purchase, just not ideal for what I wanted and certainly not a replacement for a surefire/streamlight.
Best Used for:
  • night time varmint hunting at close range
