NEVER EVER AGAIN
the ut1 does not fit correctly and does not stay sighted. to me this was a waste of time,and money. plus it took about 3 weeks to get it,when i paid for fast shipping. Never again!!!!!!!!!!!

Accessories bracket
Good qu ality item execpt for the trigger guard bracket which tends to bend when tightened, but customer service was very responsive to this and replaced it.
Pros: Fits the Taurus PT99 AF like a glove

Not for continuous use
Works okay for the purpose of illuminating hallways and what not. Fired a couple of mags and it loosened up a bit. Tightened and fired a few mags again. Loosened up again. I got the rail to light my target in case of intruders and it does that but I would strongly recomend against this product if you plan to use it for a lazer sight or continous fire senarios but as far as home defense, I would strongly recomend it if your only using it for a light mount for home defense.

Versatile & worth the money
This is a great way to add a picatinny rail to a wide variety of weapons. I bought this as I wanted to add my M3 weaponlight to my S&W 686 which I use as my house gun. This mounted in less than 5 minutes and seems rugged, but is not stabile enough for an M6 laser light. Overall this is a great option for those that want to add a rail to a weapon without one.

UT1 Universal Mount Review
I purchased the UT1 Universal Mount for my Taurus PT 99 AF, because I couldnt find a standard mount from any manufacturer for the PT 99. The only mounts available were for the Beretta 92s and they didnt fit my Taurus. The mount was easy to install and it fit solidly on the trigger guard. The first time I fired the gun, the mount shifted down. But, the second time after I retighten the screws, the mount was solid.

Improved Family Protection
I heard a bump in the night a couple of months ago late at night & felt awkward and unsafe carrying my .45 Sig in one hand and a flashlight in the other. This mount made it possible to easily and inexpensively modernize my 12 year old pistol with an excellent tactical light (Leapers UTG Integral Tactical LED Pistol Flashlight LT-ELP223). Now I can see great with a far more stable & accurate two hand weapon grip defending my family. Thanks for the relatively inexpensive innovation!

nice concept but low quality
I placed this on my pistol and two of the screws stripped the threads without giving the feeling of being tight. Nice concept but need some refinement and to be made of better materials.
