Bear Archery BearX Crossbow De Tac Cocking Crank
It works on my Bear Catalyst 420 as stated. It does get hung up after cocking under the scope mount. I just have to give it a little shove to release it. Not a big problem but could have been made a little narrower.Maybe because it's it's made to be used on several different models, it may fit bette...

Maybe, maybe not.
While it seems to be and do what it says it will do, it is definitely NOT FOR ALL BEAR X MODEL CROSSBOWS. I got mine in Friday, the day before archery season opened here in Texas. It didn't look right and I had questions. I called Taz in customer relations at Bear, and after some emails and phone co...

Bear X De tac crank
After a back operation I was no longer able to use the rope to use the rope on my Bear Saga 405 Crossbow. I thought my days of crossbow hunting with that Bear saga were over until I called customer service and they advised me that I could buy this DeTac Cranking device. It was easy to install and it’s simple to use, and I am so happy that I bought it. It is definitely worth the money. Now I can practice with the bow and I don’t have to worry about having my son there to keep using the rope to load it between shots. The bear saga is not an easy bow to pull back with the rope because it is very powerful. This device will do the trick..don’t suffer if you’re having trouble with the rope loading your crossbow.
Pros:
- Easy to use, saves your back from straining
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Bear Saga 405

review of hand crank
Works well, didn't think it was going to work on my impact crossbow do to terrible instructions on mounting on bow, went on youtube videos and saw how to turn mounting bracket around to mount properly, works well now but is very noisy when cranking, wouldn't want to use while in the woods, i have found if you hold pressure on the release lock you can keep it pretty quiet but this could be dangerous. Makes cocking easy, turns easily.
