it's a pretty case, seems fairly sturdy structurally, fits o/u with 28" bbl well. problem is, while it does an adequate job of protecting guns inside it from dents and dings, it apparently absorbs water like a sponge--little or no water resistance as shipped. so, if a water bottle were to leak in the back of the sport-ute, for example, on a long hunt or long drive home with your hunting buddies the canvas cover lets the water through into the fuzzy lining where it's held against the gun. yeah, never leave a gun in its case, I've heard, but by the time you see the case starting to swell or discolor you may have a rusted/wood stained shotgun inside. if you're absolutely certain you will never, ever leave a gun in this case and/or it never, ever seeing moisture it is attractive and secures the gun and barrels well, has good room for accessories. if you might have a reason, say on a multi day hunt with multiple travel days, to keep the gun stored in it and there's even a ghost of a chance the case might see moisture, I'd strongly suggest you look elsewhere for your gun protection needs.
