I finally bought the case after being confused about the forearm issue so I wanted to fill-in details about the size of the compartments. This is for the single barrel case. The top barrel compartment comes with three spacer blocks. 2 small separate blocks and an arrangement of 2 1-1/4 blocks glued to a baseplate. All are removable leaving this compartment a tad over 32.5" long. My Silver Pigeon V 20 gauge needed the breach split block and one solid block for it's 28" barrel + extended Mobil chokes. My 686 Onyx 28" barrel + Briley extended fits with the forearm/forend attached so width isn't an issue.
The contested fore-end partition is better used for a choke case. The Beretta choke case fits perfectly. This space is 10" x 4.33" (25.5cm x 11 cm exactly) it has a square compartment making this an odd shape. My SPV 20 gauge forend fits perfectly here but not the 686 12 gauge forearm. A forearm placed in here has nothing to keep it from flopping around and would be better used for other things
The interior is very well appointed and looks like it's hold-up well. No wrinkles on mine.
Stock compartment fits both my stocks and has some leather/pleather to protect the oily areas and includes a velcro retaining strap.
Exterior is a hard green canvas with "Beretta" stitched in blue. Leather or pleather corners with a leather handle. Brass locks are not terribly heavy duty for air travel etc. More a range/storage case. Well made and great value. Five stars if it had a few more spa...
