I fell in love with this knife the moment I saw it. The shape of the blade, the materials, the colors, everything. I pre-ordered it when it was available and painfully waited for a while once it started shipping. I was thrilled once I got the package and went to my workbench to unpack it. The first thing I noticed was the weight... it was a lot heavier than expected, which was OK. It was thicker than expected, but it felt nice in the hand. It was super sharp, more than most new knives I've gotten in the last few years. I decided to make this my new EDC.

And then, after maybe ten times opening and closing it, getting used to the action, the release started feeling stiff... a couple more tries, and it won't lock in place. I could apply a lot more pressure and be able to open and close it, and then it just stopped moving. I could open and close it maybe 20 times before I experienced a catastrophic failure. I didn't want to disassemble a new knife to try to fix it or get some slash-resistant gloves to avoid an accident.

This was my first Bestech knife, and sadly, I think it would be my last. It's a beautiful piece of equipment, but I don't think I can confidently use a knife if I think it could fail this way, especially being brand new.
