Most Helpful Positive Review Awesome
This is a very good holster, as stated the leather, stitching and thumb snap are high quality at an affordable price. Everything looks great and feels soft, and I'm sure that it will be even better when the leather breaks in. The thumb snap opens and snaps shut with EASE, extremely easy to open and ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Bianchi Shadow ll Holster
They advertise that each holster is specifically fit for each gun. The chart shows that part #18614 fits the Colt Detective Special 2". Don't believe it. The keeper strap is too short. Also, the holster is longer than necessary. #18614 is made for the Ruger 3" revolver, and Ruger SP 101 Pros: 3-slot...

Purchased this for my Glock 34

by Mikey, Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on January 16, 2020
Figured if this would fit a 17L it would fit my 34. It did, however had to wet the back strap and stretch it to buckle. The holster does well to conceal a pistol as big as the 34. It hugs close to your body. I have not tried the crossdraw yet but seems like it should work well. Only thing I was disappointed in was that the brown of the holster was much lighter than that in the picture. No big issue but was not what I was expecting.
Pros:
  • Great fit and finish
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Conceal Carry
  • personal carry

High Quality Holster

by GMC, from MD, United States Written on March 26, 2019
A little bias for Bianchi brand leather holster. This is the first time I have purchased this brand, back in 1982 I bought my first Bianchi holster a 5BHL-6" for S&W 686 and to this day the holster still looks and feels new. So I wanted a closer fitting leather holster for my Colt Cobra, as always Bianchi did not let me down. Fits will on both side and tight to the body. High quality leather, fits like a glove and protects my revolver. If this holds up as my last two holster from Bianchi have, I won't have to purchase any more (Sorry Bianchi).

Bianchi model 7 plain black

by Vodka, from OK, United States Written on September 15, 2018
I purchased this holster for two S&W revolvers,M617 and M69,both 4" bbls.Fits both great and I am pleased with the quality. The holster rides high(strong side) and I am comfortable in a chair or in a vehicle. The revolvers are secure, but may be slow to draw because of the height, not a problem for me,but maybe for some.
Pros:
  • Fits both K and L frames
Cons:
  • None
Would recommend: Yes

Be cautious

by Arbe, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on June 16, 2018
The Bianchi Model 7 Shadow II 18610 is a good quality holster with a major design error. DO NOT BUY THIS HOLSTER FOR A S&W MODEL 60. It is not made properly for this model. The body of the holster is a good fit for the 60. However, the thumb strap is 3/8" to short for the strap snaps to mate. After many calls, over three weeks, to Safariland Holsters I finally got to talk to a real person. They were fully aware of the problem with the short strap. They informed me that I would have to stretch the strap using saddle soap to make it fit. I went through this process twice and the strap will snap in place with a lot of force. You cannot make the strap snap without taking the holster off! I will have to stretch it a third time. It is hard to get an additional 3/8" in a piece of leather that is only approximately 1 1/4" long to begin with. The strap is already showing stretch marks meaning the leather is damaged.

It is a shame but this holster was made to save manufacturing costs by fitting four different revolvers and it does not. Instead they should have ensured that it was designed to fit each model perfectly.
Pros:
  • Fits the revolver body well
Cons:
  • Thumb strap cannot be snapped
Best Used for:
  • Concealed carry without thumb strap

Can’t go wrong with Bianchi

by Timtex, from TX, United States Written on January 1, 2018
This holster was purchased for a Gen 5 Glock 19. At first, the fit seemed too tight and the strap would not snap. But, just as it says in the instructions, put the pistol in the holster for a few days and it will stretch at the tight spots ( such as the forward nose of the trigger guard) and the fit will become perfect. This is a fine holster made from nice leather at a very good price.
Pros:
  • Good fit
  • Quality Leather
Cons:
  • None

Great holster

I have purchased several Bianchi holsters over the years, and they have all been of exceptional quality. This one is no exception. It takes a few days for the gun to “settle in”, but after that you’re good to go.

Bianchi 7 Shadow Holster

by Fedagt, from NV, United States Written on August 24, 2017
Fine holster BUT purchased for Browning High Power. Due to design of thumb break one CANNOT carry weapon cocked and locked with strap between hammer and frame. If that safety feature is desired by single action auto fans buy a different holster.
