Most Helpful Positive Review Bianchi Remedy Pancake Holster
Purchased the Bianchi Model 57 Remedy holster for my Glock 19 after initially purchasing one for my M&P 9mm Compact. The design is excellent as the holster is comfortable, securly holds the weapon and has an ideal angle of draw. The quality of the leather as well as the finish is excellent. Pros: Excellent design, quality and fit. Cons: None

Shaped to fit 100%

by Fred, from WA, United States Written on February 24, 2019
When received this holster was so tight that the slide would operate when holstering the pistol and would almost pull your beltloops off while attempting to draw the weapon.
As suggested on one forum I wrapped the pistol in wax paper, inserted fully into the holster and placed in a warm location with an empty magazine and no round in the chamber. After 3 days I worked the pistol in and out of the holster for about an hour while watching TV. The difference was amazing. The holster is still very tight but now loose enough to allow for a proper draw without allowing for a fall or easy take away.
I personally would have preferred a more upright position but I still give this holster 100%.
Pros:
  • Everything about it, fit and finish is too notch. Runs flawlessly.
Cons:
  • Slight forward pitch, but it does show in the picture
Best Used for:
  • everyday and/or concealed carry

Love this holster

by Richard, from OH, United States Written on October 1, 2018
Bought the Remedy 57 for my Compact 4 inch M and P.Ive bought 2 other holster before I bought the Remedy 57 . It fits the gun like a glove .I was scared at first that I wasn't going to like it .The first time I slipped my gun in it ,it pulled the slide back .But, after working the gun in and out of the holster ,it was fine. I didn't have to buy a new belt, pants or nothing .Fits just fine .I'm going to get another Remedy 57 for my 5 inch M and P Performance Center C.O.R.E. Thank you so much for having the holster I needed .Richard .

Brian hi Remedy Glock 27

by Norm, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on March 15, 2018
I have been looking for a good quality small holster for my Glock 27 and when Optics Planet had this one on a sale price I decided to try it. The holster fits the pistol perfectly and it looks nice in brown. It is snug enough to prevent falling out but easy to remove. Highly recommend this product.
Pros:
  • fit, appearance and color
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • OWB and concealed under a loose shirt.

I like this holster

by Gramps, from VA, United States Written on January 3, 2018
I have two of these for two different carry guns.

The most recent addition is for a Gen 5 Glock 19. This holster is very well made in the Bianchi tradition. It looks good and is light weight. I like these because they secure the firearm without straps and snaps. The only negative is the fit is very tight when brand new and needs a little breaking in - the belt slots are snug as well.
Pros:
  • Secure
Cons:
  • Snug belt slots
Best Used for:
  • concealed carry anytime

Functional but finish isn't what it used to be!

by Commander, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on January 2, 2018
Gun fits good, leather is appropriately thick and firm, but the finish has a waxy look with what looks like a few small lumpy looking contaminants in what ever they used to finish the leather. I have a few other more recent holsters from Bianchi that have a similar finish but without the lumps. I understand that Bianchi moved their production facilities down to Mexico...probably to keep there prices down and mission accomplished. I have had Bianchi holsters made in the US in the past that where on par with makers like Gelco, however their finish quality isn't as good now. That said, There prices are much more reasonable at approx. half of what a Gelco cost now. If your looking for an affordable and functional leather holster with acceptable finish for concealment this works...If you want a nicer finish for open carry and don't mind paying around twice as much...then go for a Gelco or a custom rig for even more. I carry this one concealed for the most part and it will work fine for me!
Pros:
  • Affordable
  • Sufficiently constructed
  • looks durable enough
Cons:
  • Finish is not as good as it used to be
Best Used for:
  • concealed carry
  • Casual open carry

Government Employee

I own 2 of these holsters, and carry with one or the other most of the time. Just the right amount of retention, and they conceal very well. Comfortable for all day carry too. This holster conceals under a slightly loose shirt in warm weather.
Pros:
  • Concealabiltiy and retention
Cons:
  • None as I see it.
Best Used for:
  • Concealed Carry

Bianchi holster Model 57

by Greg, from FL, United States Written on May 22, 2017
This is a nice fitting holster for my Smith and Wesson model 640. This is an older model 640 and rides comfortably outside my belt. The Bianchi rig is perfect for me as the cost was reasonable and the workmanship is just fine.

Bianchi Remedy

This is a well made holster and fits very well and holds gun secure. You will need to draw and wiggle side to side as it comes very tight but this will fix. All and all a well made pancake style holster.
