Rehabguy's Review of Birchwood Casey 6inx9in Lead Remover and Polishing Cloth
First time I saw this product online, I must be honest, I was very skeptical.
A friend recommended I MUST have one of these polishing cloths since I own a stainless revolver. My research then turn to youTube, where I saw a couple of videos that show how well this cloth works on carbon marks/ burnt rings on a revolvers' cylinders. I was pretty amazed at what I saw and decided to give it a try.
It once took me HOURS soaking the cylinder of my revolver in solvent and going at it with a brass brush to do a mediocre job at removing those pesky burnt rings. It literally took less than 5 mins to remove ALL of the carbon off the cylinder AND the muzzle crown. I used to use KG1 Carbon Remover on my 1911's barrel and I must say that there was a spot on the under side of the barrel (between the barrel link and the breech) that I could never take off. TWO wipes with moderate pressure was all it took to take it off.
I will continue to buy this product for as long as I own firearms.
