Most Helpful Positive Review Blackhawk 3 day assault pack (black)
Should have listened to previous buyers. I ordered the BLACK Blackhawk 3 day pack and instead got shipped an OD green bag! Bag is great, but like other reviews my receipt reflected that I ordered the black bag and received a green bag!!!
Most Helpful Negative Review All colors listed as "Black" on website
OpticsPlanet says I chose the "wrong color" when I submitted for a black backpack. My invoice says black backpack. I got an ARPAT backpack. They say that all four colors of the pack -- are accurately described as "black" on their website and that I made a wrong selection, the default is apparently A...

Great backpack

by Rockyminnix, from WA, United States Written on July 13, 2016
This pack is out standing it is comfy with lots of weight in it! It fits many different cammel packs in it! And is made of a really strong canvous materall! My only complaint for it is, it only has four areas to pile your stuff in not much customizability. But I'd you just want a simplistic pack for a bug out bag get this or even for hiking.
Pros:
  • comfy fit
  • Durrable
  • Strong materal
Cons:
  • Very basic
Best Used for:
  • Hiking,hunting,fishing,bird watching, bug out

Solid Construction

by smud, from NE, United States Written on January 17, 2016
This is a versatile bag for whatever your purpose, that is neither too big or too small. One can argue the marketing behind the 3-day moniker simply because it may only be a 1-day or 2-day type of backpack for some people. Like all Blackhawk products I own, all seams, zippers, buckles, and straps are high quality and built to last. My only negative is the carrying handle will be too small or a tight fit if you have large hands or wear gloves, leaving you primarily with the shoulder straps for any type of carry.
Pros:
  • durable
  • Size
  • Quality
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • camping
  • emergency

Clasic three day Assault Pack

by Wm Palmer, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on March 25, 2015
The Blackhawk 3 day pack is the classic model that has inspired many others. I chose this one, because I wanted one that had a less tactical look to it. I have other packs, but I did not need another pone covered in Molle or multiple pouches and mag carries that screamed "Look at me ...I am tactical!!"...This is much more subdued and discreet. The pack is a good size with more than enough room for three days, even more. it is well made, strong fabric and stitching, with compression straps, ability to rhydration bladder, and proper shoulder straps and waist belt to help secure a full load. It is not cheap, but you should never need another one. I would buy it again.

by Monica Jean, from CA, United States Written on November 26, 2014
This is a rugged bag with compact styling and is very handy with all of the pockets and attention to detail. All of the stitching is excellent and of a very high quality compared to other bags we have tried in the past.

Versatile Travel Pack

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on September 27, 2013
This pack is always my go to pack when I take trips. It holds a great deal, is very comfortable on the body, and takes abuse without flinching. I use it as a go bag in the car as well. One of the best bags the Blackhawk makes, and it doesn't immediately look like a tactical bag which is good for my needs.

Great 3-day Backpack

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on February 3, 2013
Used this pack for a 6 day backpacking trip through Southern Germany and it was great on and off the trains and trekking around. Plenty of room for all my clothing and gear as well. I used the sleeve between the back padding to store documents and reading materials which protected them from the main compartment.
Pros: Volume, Comfort, Rugged Material
Cons: Could use more internal pockets

Disappointing

by Legacy Reviewer, from GA, United States Written on February 14, 2012
I was disappointed in this product. While the exterior is durable, the straps have a tend to slip, even with moderate loads. With heavy loads the shoulder straps slide/slip with the pack tending to move toward the side that has not slipped.

I will not be purchasing any further products from Blackhawk. I have also been disappointed with their tactical pants.
Pros: Durable shell
Cons: shoulder straps tend to slip
