Legacy Reviewer's Review of BlackHawk Serpa Injection Molded Polymer CQC Concealment Holsters w/ Matte Finish
I like the Blackhawk SERPA line. But you need to be fully witted and well-practiced to safely use them. Some people hook their finger into the trigger after releasing the lock and shoot themselves.
A valid criticism is that the catch mechanism will lock the gun in place if you get snow or dirt under the tab. If your usage requires this sort of exposure, you may want another holster.
Some clubs and training organizations won't let you train with this holster. Of course, the holster has enough passive retention to hold a pistol, should the SERPA lock be disabled or removed.
You can find people on the Internet who hate the holsters, as well as people who love them.
The Marines have adopted a version for their use and claim that they work well for users of all levels.
Pros: Secures pistol well; is a good value
Cons: SERPA mechanism is considered unsafe by some. clubs
