Legacy Reviewer's Review of BlackHawk Emergency Medic Rolls
I highly reccommend the BlakHawk Medic Roll to anyone who is looking for a perfect FAK (1st Aid Kit).
I looked at different options and I am completely satisfied with my choice because my pack turned out to be an awesome first aid kit. Everyone I have shown it to has been impressed. Being an avid outdoorsman and someone who HAS to have things neat and organized is what lead me to this pack.
I especially like how everything can be seen without going into each pouch and
I was also impressed with the size, weight and the craftsmanship of the roll.
Some things I did to add a personal touch was I used a vacuum sealer to "downsize" some of the packaging on bandages and I also used aloksak's bags to hold special instruments, and I used a label maker to mark specific items. The BlackHawk medic roll allowed me to have a light weight, portable, and very capable first aid kit. I have been perfecting my first aid kit for 2 years, collecting information and supplies and I have been waiting for an awesome container to house it all.
My FAK is finally complete since I purchased the BlackHawk.
I could barely even think of anything to change so I will grasp at: Maybe a little more velcro on the outside closure of the roll, but it does have straps so this is not really a problem. And one more "larger" size internal pouch would have been nice.
I would also like to mention that each pouch is separted by an elastic strap, so adding a package of gloves, or other items is easy.
You will not be disappointed with the Black Hawk Medic Roll. In fact, I own several BlackHawk items and I have learned to respect everything with their name on it and I plan to buy another Medic Roll for a 2nd kit.
Pros: Light weight, Easy to deploy, Compartment visibility, Carry handle, Made from quality materials
Cons: Could possibly usea little more velcro on the outside closure, I would like to see one more set of the larger pouches
