Noguidedtours's Review of BlackHawk SERPA L2 Duty Holsters
I purchased both a right hand and left hand set of these holsters. Yes, I practice with both (but not at the same time). The sidearm is firmly secured in place when locked, yet releases smoothly when your index finger slides up the release latch. This holster holds the side arm a little lower and further from the body than a concealed carry holster, yet significantly higher than a drop-leg holster. They are exactly what I hoped they would be.
Pros:
- Heavy duty, good quality
- Securely locks sidearm
- Quick and smooth release for draw
- Holds sidearm at a comfortable level
Cons:
- If you're used to an FBI cant, may take some getting used to
- If you wear your belt low, can dig into the seats (but what duty holster doesn't)
Best Used for:
- duty
- Good compromise between concealed carry holster and drop-leg.
