This is my second duty holster from Blackhawk!. I had a Safariland holster with the light option. I also had the Blackhawk! level III without the option for a light. I switched back to my Blackhawk and finally made the purchase of the Level III with the Xiphos light. This holster by far exceeds my expectations. Speed and the ability to gain the master grip as soon as you touch your weapon is what I wanted. The most important option I love is the immediate security when I re-holster. Excellent duty holster

31yrs LE, FI, DTI: Great duty holster & best bang for buck. Superior in many ways to Safariland SLS (also not a bad holster). Prefer Blackhawk quick detach mechanism over Safariland. Also Serpa III seems shorter in length, more scuff resistant & style (safety releases) more positive & natural.

This holster is awesome, multiple ways to lock,confidence inspiring when holstered and being deployed. would be perfect for duty situation, where the rigors of running or scuffling may allow other holsters to release weapon.very well put together. however you will need the Xiphos light, and will not work with Crimson Trace light guard light

Good duty holster

I bought this holster for the retention aspect. I did not intend to buy the model for the xyphos light but since I made the mistake, I kept it and ordered the xyphos light to go on my M&P 45. It works very well but takes some time getting used to the draw.
Pros: sturdy, retention is excellent
Cons: sticks out from side a lot.

My favorite holster

This is on e of my altime favorite holsters. It is lightning fast and has level 3 retention. It they only made it to fit other lights!
Pros: Fast, secure, easy to access
Cons: They only make it for the Xiphos Light

It fits other rail mounted device, too

If you don't have the Xiphos Weapon Light like me. It will also fit a Beretta Genesis Green Laser. Just make sure you loosen the front screw on the Holster or remove it. Otherwise it may drain (sometimes switch hitting against the Holster wall inside) the rechargeable battery on the Genesis. Also disengage the safety on the M&P 45, otherwise the hood won't latch / close.

Best Holster Ever

This Holster is the best i've had. It has Level III security with ease of a Level I holster. I would recommend this holster to anyone who has to wear a duty rig everyday.
Pros: Level III Holster but easier than a Level I once you know how to use it.
Cons: I didnt get it sooner
