To many safety functions on this holster. my gun got stuck in it.... - BlackHawk SERPA Tactical Level 3 Thigh Holster

I contacted Black Hawk directly to help me choose a thigh holster for my Springfield Armory XD9. They recommended this one even though they asked me if I was law enforcement and what I was using it for. I am not law enforcement and I told them I was using it for classes I take at an out door range. I received this holster and there were a lot of buttons and safety mechanisms on it. To many for my taste. My gun got stuck in this holster many times and the release button did not work most of the time. One time my gun got stuck with my gun loaded and I had to take the holster off completely. Luckily there is a gun smith at the school I was training at and he helped me get my gun out and stuck some folded tape under the release button so my gun would slide easily in and out after that. I ended up returning this holster because it has to many safety mechanisms and ultimately my gun got stuck in it several times. If you like the extra safety features of this holster, then this is the one for you. My point is, if you can't get your gun out to use it, then what is the point?
