Blackhawk Sling Backpack

by Antlion, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on May 19, 2012
Overall this is an excellent backpack. Due to the design you actually can "throw" it on. The storage compartment is large and the packets are well positioned. My only complaints have to do with changing the strap from left to right and the opening for the headphone cord. The strap change was confusing for me but that could probably just be because I'm not familiar with this design of backpack. As for the opening for the headphone cord, there isn't one. The the rubber bits used to channel and protect the cord are there, but there's no hole. I think they forgot to cut the opening on my pack. It's not really a big deal since I can do it myself but I expect everything to be perfect when I buy something from Blackhawk. Would I carry it into combat? Probably not, but it's more than up to daily carry.

On a side note, this pack is excellent for paintball. Just add a molle compatible tank pouch and a remote line and you'll be fine. This is a great alternative for people who don't like the pod holders that go around the waist. One more thing. I'd recommend the black over the tan since the internals of the pack are tan regardless of color. Tan on tan just looked weird to me.
Pros: Light, durable, well proportioned
Cons: Mine wasn't finnished, strap position change is confusing at first

I wanted a sling for when i go biking in the woods that i could carry a knife right up front, and this is the only bag i could find to do that. It's strong and can take a beating and not tear or rip.
Pros: Mollie where you will need it. Strong. Light. Just awesome
Cons: It was about $70 but worth it.
