I would actually rate this a 3.5 if 1/2 stars were allowed. I have many bipods, Harris, Caldwell, Atlas and Sinclare. I expected this to be on a par with the Caldwell but the overall robustness falls behind the Caldwell. It is not a cheaply made as NcStar and for the average range shooter it is adequate. I was hoping to use this as a tactical bipod for use on my duty rig, but for that duty if falls short. It is feature packed but has a high gloss finish and lighter construction then my Sinclare or Atlas. It has a tendency to slip from the mount and the locking lever does not provide a solid seal. When traversing the legs have a tendency to fold causing the weapon to cant away from the target. If Blackhawk were to beef up the design this would be a very solid product, but as is it is not compatible for tactical work.
Pros: Has both traverse and swivle options
Cons: Not as stout as competitors
