Most Helpful Positive Review Blackhawk Adjustable Bipod
This is a good bipod for the money. However, I do wish the unit was a bit stronger/solid. In other words, the bipod tends to flex a lot. It is good for light use. Pros: Good features Cons: Could be stronger
Most Helpful Negative Review Blackhawk bipod
I would actually rate this a 3.5 if 1/2 stars were allowed. I have many bipods, Harris, Caldwell, Atlas and Sinclare. I expected this to be on a par with the Caldwell but the overall robustness falls behind the Caldwell. It is not a cheaply made as NcStar and for the average range shooter it is adeq...

Blackhawk pivot bipod

Used it for the first time this week. Worked great. Love the pivot aspect of the bipod. Nice and sturdy, no wobble to it.

Sturdy, everywhere but one critical spot

by Whitehall Rez, from CO, United States Written on May 8, 2018
Overall, I’m pleased with this bipod. Good solid platform and highly adjustable, both tilt and pivot. Careful, it will bite wham retracting the legs. The only real issue I have is with the attachment point at the sling stud. A pretty poor job of threading the tightening screw through stamped metal. The screw regularly loosens, as if by magic. I used a QD picatinny to sling stud attachment, red loctite, and a couple of tiny rubber gaskets on either side of the screw threads to create a semi-permanent mounting “system”. Not ideal, but it works. Ended up costing me another $20. May consider a Harris next time.

LEMMOTTLOW

by JOSEPH J LANZA, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on November 18, 2017
Hard to beat for average target shooter and hunter. May be a bit light for police or military use. It has a lot of features built in, that are extra add ons (spell additional weight) for other bipods. I have two, one with the BlackHawk picatinny rail adapter (works well and inexpensive), another for using the sling stud attachment on my bolt guns.
Pros:
  • A lot of value for the money.
Cons:
  • Too light for serious tactical work.

Great bipod and great value

by outdoor man, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on November 12, 2016
Pros: Installs and removes very easily. Great price too compared to other vendors and local stores! Cons: Bipod is a little heavier than I thought it would be. Overall, great product and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great product

by Jason, from OR, United States Written on April 14, 2016
It is s great product for a lot less money than some others. I like the traverse and the locking handle. I have the Harris bipeds but actually like theses better. They are a little more bulky but that is because of the traverse. Nothing that would make me not want to buy them again. I actually own 3 sets of them now.

Nearly Perfect

by Heretic, from AL, United States Written on May 29, 2015
Sturdy and stout with one misgiving.

The stud mounting mechanism does not provide an assured equal grasp on the sling mount stud via the two attachment ears with clamping tangs. These are my own terms for description. The tangs being those small posts which are affixed into the sling mount stud holes on both side.

I pressed a suitable O ring over the two attachment ears, onto which the tangs are mounted, which supplied adequate clamping pressure onto the attachment ears to insure the sling mount was fully engaged both sides with both tangs. Otherwise theres diminished assurance of equal engagement.

Had the spread of the ears been perhaps 1/8 wider in manufacturing this may very well have been resolved. Eventually, years from now, the O ring with deteriorate and fall off.

Worked well on Ruger M77 .338 Win Mag. with legs folded either forward or reward. It is very flexing a few degrees of left to right scanning and with great vertical/horizontal crosshair adjustment on uneven surfaces.

Very much like this Bipod

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on July 11, 2013
I purchased 2 of these. 1 was the 6-9" and a 9-13". Easy to install. well built and works excellent. I've had the expensive Harris Pivots but the TRAVERSE is a great addition.
Pros: Pivot & TRAVERSE
Cons: None

Great Bipod

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on May 5, 2013
This is a great bipod with flawless target acquisition. It's built very well and made to withstand abuse. With a good adaptor, it fits well and looks even better on an AR.
Pros: Seamless traverse
Cons: Need of adaptor for picatinny rail
