Most Helpful Positive Review Blackhawk TL2
Ordered my holster and arrived a couple days later. Holster is perfect for my 365. It’s going to easily conceal the 365 and it’s great for a smooth draw. I would recommend this holster to anyone looking for a new one.
Most Helpful Negative Review Not horrible.
Purchased for winter carry with G43X while chopping wood and working outdoors. While there are other options my duty holster is the same make/model and I wanted to maintain that “muscle memory response”. My duty version is a low ride design. I wasn’t prepared for how much the thumb break digs into m...

DANGEROUS product that should be recalled IMMEDIATELY

by Scott, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on July 2, 2025
I ordered one of these for P365 and right out of the box noticed it allowed a lot of wiggle when holstered. What was worse was that in certain positions due to the wiggle the thumb release would not actuate, preventing the weapon from being drawn at all. I was alarmed, so I adjusted the tension according to instructions, but regardless of tension, either loose or very tight, the wiggle was present and the firearm would be stuck when pulled upward before pressing the thumb release. This means that in the event you have to draw your weapon, you would have to hope your weapon hadn't wiggled upward, and even then you would have to be sure to press the thumb release before pulling upward or else your weapon will NOT draw. This is absolutely unacceptable and reckless for both Blackhawk and Optics Planet to sell this at all, let alone as a "duty" holster. I can only speak to the P365 variant, but it was tested with various tensions using a P365XL as well as the P365SAS which is literally snag-free, so the weapon cannot be blamed. This item needs to be recalled immediately. I have contacted Blackhawk about this but so far have not received a response.

Bottom Line: DO NOT buy this holster for your P365. Period.

Good holster

by Edward Stubbs, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on October 25, 2023
A well made holster. Two options for wearing OWB. Great retention and security for your pistol. I have carried openly and with the right shirt / jacket, I have carried it Concealed. My only dislike. The two clips on either side of the retention release mechanism have a tendency to poke me in my side. It's only minor, but it can be annoying.
Pros:
  • Slight poking in my side
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • The choice is your: OWB or IWB
  • IWB or OWB. Both work for me

Proper retention and security

by Cam, Verified Owner from MT, United States Written on April 29, 2023
Fits a G20 well for carrying in the woods. Not the most comfortable option but offers a decently priced option for carrying on hikes. Not entirely sure how it works for smaller guns but you could be better off with a chest holster for hiking. Overall 4/5 as it offers good retention and decent comfort at a reasonable price .

Doesn’t retain the gun

by Cody, from IL, United States Written on May 10, 2022
I bought this holster because it’s designed to retain the gun. The thumb lever does nothing on my g23 that it says it fits. It doesn’t contact andything and even with the bottom screw tensioned it will fall out if turned upside down.

Will fit Sig M17

by Wild Bill, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on November 18, 2020
Before purchasing this holster I had questions would this holster accommodate the M17 and could it be used without the TLR8 attached. Emailed OP and Blackhawk and crickets are still chirping. So just received my holster and TLR8 AG flex today the verdict is yes this holster does fit the M17 and you could use it without the TLR8 if you had to. It will fit but the retention will not lock properly and the weapon tends to hang up on occasion so I wouldn’t recommend using it without the light. Blackhawk even states this on the holster. Another thing someone might need to know is will it work with suppressor hight sights. Yes it will. The only thing now is for Blackhawk to get on the ball and offer this same holster for other red dot platforms besides Glock and Sig. just to be clear this review is for the light bearing model only they have a non light bearing model also .
