These are plastic and they are asymmetrical so you can mount you mag pouches on the drop leg rig. So far they seem fine for the purpose. I would not use them for anything other than the Blackhawk leg rig since they are plastic and they might not be good for mounting lights or other accessories to anything else. The hole pattern probably won't match anything else anyway.
