Piece
This cheek riser is absolute garbage! Pads on the side are so thick I cannot obtain good reticle picture without butchering the adjustment pads. The straps are way too long and do not keep the pad on the stock well at all. Had to do a lot of mods to make it work somewhat.
Makes the gun look like pretty rough after the mods. This is on a regular 30-06 rifle stock. As a result I cannot recommend this BlackHawk riser to anyone at any price! Complete waste of money.

I originally purchased this product for an ar15 A2 stock and found that it fit a little loose for my liking. So I tried it on my Remington 870 shotgun. I found that it had a much more snug comfortable fit.

The pad was everything I needed it to be, easy to apply, very versatile. Opticsplanet has been very easy and fun to work with, I've made several purchases through them, and they come through every time.
Best Used for:
- Great to line your eyes up with your scope.

Installed on an American Rimfire Target so I could rest my cheek on the stock. Works as intended, I can now press my cheek into the rifle and have a perfect sight picture through the scope.
The only downside is that the piece can be bulky, and doesn't fit against the stock on the sides. Then again, the rimfire stock may just be small.

I did want to get a new stock for my Remington 300 win mag , So I got this product instead and it works great! It's easy to use and fits my Remington 700sps bell Carsons stock , . I use low mount scope rings but I needed alittle more height for my gun . Works good and the price is very fair . I plan on buying for my other rifles

I needed this product to put on my M1A so I would have a good cheek weld when shooting using my scope or my red dot. There are a lot of products out there like this, but I feel this is the best one. It was easy to affix, and it afforded me the right amount of height so I could see out of my scope/red dot clearly without any gymnastics. The price is good, and the product is good. When I am not using my scope or red dot, I can put this away if I choose to use the iron sights.
Pros:
- Versatile functional piece of equipment
- Priced well.
- Good value/quality.

Purchased this to use with a Springfield M1A and scope. I had to add a little more padding to bring it up to the perfect eye level. This is my second Blackhawk Cheek Pad and I am more than satisfied with both.
Pros:
- Ease of installation on rifle
- Stays in proper position

I purchased this for a Savage Arms Model 10 rifle. Perhaps the stock on my rifle is a little smaller than BlackHawk had tested, but this doesn't fit as tight as it should. I ran out of adjust on their velco straps. It is on lightly firm, but not as tight as it should. The Cheek Pad works very well and feels good against my cheek. It is built well and perhaps if you have a bit larger stock then on my Savage, it would fit a little tighter. I could probably add some foam on the sides or bottom to make it a little more snug. I may try that this week if is slips a little. Overall, it is a good product and as usual, I had it in a few days from Optics Planet at a reasonable price.

Simply put, this is the best cheek pad made. I do have others with neat pouches and/or bullet holders on them...this one has neither. However, it's the best at providing a comfortable cheek to stock weld that I have ever seen. It also has. A texture to it similar to "shark skin" that will grip your cheek even when wet. Mine is mounted on a Thompson Center Arms, Venture bolt action rifle (in .308 Winchester) and...even with all of the closed cell foam in it...I can still get the bolt out of the rifle without needing to remove the pad 1st!

This pad worked great on my HK91, which has a South African stock set. I tried several similar products, but this is the only one that really worked. It provides good friction between the pad and stock and the straps are a good length for adjusting to most rifles. It is also EXTREMELY comfortable and I get a perfect cheek weld for my optics set up. All the other cheek pads I tried slipped around and I could never get them secured properly. They were also rough and uncomfortable or had squared off edges, etc. In the end I returned all the others. Quality seems good, though I have only had it a few months, so it is hard to say how durable it is in the long term. The pad is thick and provides a good deal of elevation. It's perfect for an HK. Another thing I like about this product is you can remove it in two seconds and it will go back on nearly as quickly and be in exactly the same position. It molds to the stock after it has been on for a while and becomes very mated to the rifle. I would highly recommend this product and I would buy another if I needed a second one for a different rifle. I did not try it on my AR, but I suspect it would be too high with a low scope mount on a flat-top receiver. It would probably be ideal, however, if using a scope mounted on the carry handle.
