Most Helpful Positive Review These have to be the most comfortable boot in Blackhawk's line, maybe in any maker's line...
I've had the Blackhawk desert ops boots and their ZW5 boots which are both great and up until now the most comfortable and lightest boots I'd ever worn, but they're nothing compared to the Tall Tantos, these things are as comfortable or more so than my top of the line Nike running shoes. Light and breathable with lots of flexibility but without compromising good support where it's needed. They run pretty much true to size for me maybe the slightest bit big wearing thinner hi-tech mosture wicking socks, but the extra room is welcome deep into a long hike or after a long day on your feet, and...

Blackhawk's usual high quality gear

by Wilyone2, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on December 21, 2012
Everything I've bought Blackhawk from OpticsPlanet is rugged and meant to be used in almost any environment. These boots are no different...One thing to consider in the sizing: I wear a 13D (medium) width and have for years. These boots may be sized a bit narrow so if you're intention is to wear a thick sock you might want to consider going to a wide width. I wore the 511 Level One sock which is not all that thick and my boots fit a bit tight, They may be loosening up a bit with wear
but so far its not much. I've noticed that these type boots layered with rubberized supports are not easy to break in, as leather would be, and the wider widths may work better. This not a complaint...I'm just giving my .02 worth. If you get these boots you'll be well appointed. They are quite striking on and will stand out where ever you go...which may or may not be a good thing, depending. The OpticsPlanet service and free shipping is exemplary. The 15.00 rebate from Blackhawk is icing on the cake.
Pros: Stylish, well made. Laces pocket in tongue is too cool.
Cons: Medium widths may be a bit narrow

Amazing BlackHawk Tanto Hiker Boots

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on February 11, 2012
After looking for several months for the "perfect" kind of tactical boot I recently stumbled across these BlackHawk Tanto Hiker Boots and immediately purchased them. I wanted a boot that is comfortable for running and gunning, somthing that I can get wet, and somthing that I don't have to tie everytime I put them on my feet. I am a huge fan of BlackHawk products, but I am also a very careful shopper and tend to shop for apparel in retail stores so I can try it on before making a purchase. Man was I right on the money with these boots; they are super comfortable, easy to slip on due to the no string tie design yet they fit my foot securely enough that I won't slip out of them, waterproof, made with antibacterial material, and they look awesome. Seriously if your looking for a boot to wear in almost any condition, consider these as a top contender!
Pros: Light weight, no strings to tie, waterproof, comfortable
Cons: none
