Tyler's Review of BOG M-LOK Arca-Swiss Tripod Plate
I mounted this to my Ruger Precision Rimfire. I was looking for a 12” Arca rail and could basically only find 11” rails from unfamiliar brands and those were double the price. I’ve owned a few BOG products and decided to give this a shot. This nearly fits the full length of the handguard and will allow me to move my bipod rearward now when shooting at my local range. Their benches aren’t as deep as I’d like and prior to purchasing this Arca rail, my bipod was at the very end of the handguard and would almost slip off the bench if I wasn’t paying attention to it. This Arca rail will allow me to move my bipod rearward when I’m at that range.
My only complaint is similar to that of the other reviewers mentioning hardware. The screws were a bit long and would make contact if any pressure were applied to the handguard like when loading a bipod. I understand it has to be challenging to find the perfect screw length with so many M-LOK handguard and rails out there having different specs. The handguard that envelopes the barrel on the Ruger Precision Rimfire is pretty tight-fitting so handguards that have a larger diameter might be fine. It was a simple enough fix and I just cut a couple threads off the screws. Though I do think it would have been nice for them to include a few different screw lengths.
I did not have any T-nuts break, but I did notice that they didn’t want to perfectly cam over at 90*. They wanted to be slightly off from that. I’m not sure if it’s a T-nut spec on these or if it’s the RPR handguard that is a bit out of spec. Not a huge deal but something I noticed.
Overall, I’m happy with the product and it does what I needed it to do.
