Most Helpful Positive Review First Class!
Super high quality construction yall. BOG didn't go cheap on anything here (mostly all steel parts). That does mean one thing though - it's really heavy! I'm okay with that though, because this thing is solid. I watch other people swaying around in other shooting chairs, but I'm close to bench-stable with this thing. By the way, I know the photo doesn't show it, but this is the whole setup with the deathgrip head and arm assembly.

BOG DeathGrip 360 chair

by Shep JT, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on May 22, 2026
I recently got the BOG DeathGrip 360 chair and overall I would say it’s OK. Assembly was easy and straightforward, and the chair is fairly comfortable for shorter sits. I would not want to sit in it for long periods of time though.

The gun rest works pretty well and does help steady the rifle, but one issue I noticed is that if you leave the gun in the rest and try to stand up, the chair can tip over pretty easily.

Another downside is that it’s difficult to keep level unless you are on perfectly level ground. On uneven terrain it can feel off balance and takes some adjusting.

Overall, it does what it’s supposed to do, but it definitely has some limitations depending on where and how you use  it.

Can't wait...

by Andrew Sales, Verified Owner from MN, United States Written on April 27, 2026
The chair is comfortable and having the rest right on it is awesome, makes for steady shooting and easy to fallow your target. The chair is a little tipsy when the arm is infront of chair and your not sitting in it. But that is because its built heavy duty. I have used to target practice and it will be a game changer for hunting. I got a second one just after using it. Haha
Pros:
  • comfortable seat
  • heavy duty build
  • steady rest
Cons:
  • tipsy when your not sitting in it
Best Used for:
  • sighting in and hunting

Deathgrip 360 chair hunting rest

by Keith, Verified Owner from WV, United States Written on October 1, 2025
Awesome product works great with a crossbow. The only issue I had was that the chair is a little top heavy. This however was easily overcome by drilling a hole in one of the back feet and staking it down with a ground blind stake. A suggestion for the manufacturer would be to drill a hole in each of the feet to give the user the option to stake it to the ground

Bog Pod Deathgrip 360 Chair

by Kent, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on September 5, 2025
The product arrived quickly and was very well packaged. I was most concerned
that the mass and stability of the actual gun rest would be adequate to provide
a stable platform to hold the rifle. I was pleased to find that the hunting rest
structure has adequate mass for the purpose intended.

A number of reviewers have identified that if a rifle is on the rest the chair will
fall over if the hunter gets up from the chair. While this is very true I don't see
this as a weakness as the hunting rest needs to be heavy to provide adequate stability
for shooting. To prevent the chair from falling over when not occupied the manufacturer
would have to make the chair itself much heavier. The weight required to prevent this
tip over situation would have to be significant and that would make the product (chair plus
rest) so heavy that carrying it to the blind would be an ordeal. I'm pretty confidant
that the engineers at BOG intentionally made that tradeoff when designing this product.
Overall I am very pleased with this product.

While this product is available through various sources, the Optics Planet price was unbeatable.

Bog Death grip 360 chair

by crazy eyes, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on January 23, 2025
Bought this for my Primos Double Bull Blind for 2025 gun season. Set this up in the house and it was very nice. Some reviews say it is tippy, but a little common sense goes along way. Take your gun out of the rest after shooting then get up. Looking forward to taking this to the range for practice and trying it out in the field. Very satisfied with this Item. Solid construction for sure,
