Seems solid, but rattles a bit
I've been looking for the perfect field support for my H4D-31 (RRS-55 ballhead)... I'm not sure if this is it. I'm not too concerned about weight so I chose this over the significantly more expensive Gitzo carbon pod. So far it seems stable, a definite improvement over my Manfrotto 3021BPro, but it has some quirks. The aluminum cross supports have very high tolerances and rattle around. I'm not sure if it transmits vibration through to the head... it probably doesn't, but it's distracting.

An excellent mid-to-heavy duty tripod.
Our company uses nothing but Bogen/Manfrotto tripods, monopods, stands, brackets, etc...
Adjustable to many situations, versatile, great finish...
