I purchased this item for my emergency kit 2 months ago and just used it for the first time to cut some Oleander bushes. It cut fine on the first bush. After about 5 swings on a second bush the edge of the blade shattered. The bush was only 1" diameter. I'm trying to see about getting a refund. I do not recommend unless it was a defect in the metal.
