Flimsy with poor blade geometry
Lovely fondling knife, very light with lovely smooth mechanism that is a joy to handle.
But construction is weak. I dropped it on a hard floor and it just fell apart. The threaded fasteners that hold this together are tiny and have little engagement with the thin frame steel. I discovered that two of these fasteners stripped when it hit the floor and the knife just fell apart. The thin frame steel allows installation of the cocobolo onto a flat external frame surface - but at the direct compromise of adequate structural strength.
Additionally the blade profile is narrow and from my use the blade stock is too thick for slicing. So it’s fine for cutting tape but the primary grind is too obtuse, making it rubbish for slicing an apple of a piece of cheese.
Feels lovely in the hand, but I’m looking for a full flat grind for EDC that is still light weight but is waaaaay more durable than this.
